Meet the UVM Development Team

Meet Jim Neeser.

Jim joined DRG as a Business Developer for DRG UVM in 2013.? With over 20 years in the forestry and utility industries, Jim has experience working with many aspects of the industry including tree climbing and implementation of Tree Growth Regulators (TGRs) into utility IVM programs.? Jim’s focus with DRG UVM is providing herbicide services to clients nationwide; this includes bareground applications for substations, generation facilities and gas locations, as well as foliar applications along ROWs to control undesirable vegetation.? Jim also facilitates work with government agencies to control invasive species along roadways and trails.

Jim lives in Minnesota with his wife, Diona, and their two children, Connor (20) and Aliyah (18).? Outside of work, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his family fishing, hunting, and camping.? The Neeser family also includes many animals including 2 dogs, 2 cats, chickens and rabbits; according to Jim, if it was solely up to his wife and daughter, they'd have even more! Jim and his family also love sports and traveling and took a family vacation to Ireland in 2022.

Jim attended Vermilion Community College where he earned his Associates degree and played football.? Following graduation, he earned his Bachelor's degree in Forestry with an emphasis in Hydrology and Soils from the University of Minnesota.? Jim is an ISA Certified Arborist with the Utility Specialist endorsement and the incumbent Treasurer for the Utility Arborist Association.
