Dominique has been an invaluable member of the Jobs & Hope WV family since January 1, 2020, bringing passion and dedication to our mission.

?? Hometown Roots:

Hailing from Parkersburg, WV, Dominique resides near the Ohio River in Belpre, Ohio, with her husband, youngest son, and two feline companions. Their beautifully blended family comprises four children, three of whom are now adults.

?? Serving Region 4:

Dominique operates from the United Way Synergy Center in Parkersburg, WV, and covers Wood, Ritchie, and Pleasants Counties within Region 4.

???? Professional Journey:

Before joining Jobs & Hope WV, Dominique served as a criminal defense investigator for public defenders statewide for ten years. In 2017, she played a pivotal role in developing a groundbreaking program at the Public Defender Corporation, focusing on assisting non-violent offenders with treatment instead of incarceration. Her title was Substance Abuse & Mental Health Treatment Coordinator, and she received the Outstanding Support Staff Award in 2019 for her impactful contributions.

?? Education & Certifications:

Dominique earned her General Education Degree in 2000 and was recognized as the Wood County Adult Education Professional of the Year in 2022. She pursued the Criminal Justice program at WVUP and Ohio Valley University. Additionally, Dominique holds certifications in Recovery Coaching, Mental Health First Aid, Motivational Interviewing, Suicide Prevention, and various other critical areas.

?? Activities for Fun and Relaxation:

Dominique finds joy in traveling with her children, exploring new adventures, staying in unique Airbnb's, and relishing the beauty of the mountains of WV, which she has always called home. Gardening serves as her therapeutic escape, bringing calmness as she nurtures life from seed to fruition.

?? Surprising Fact:

A surprising revelation about Dominique is that her therapy for mental health is gardening. She finds the utmost calmness with her hands in the dirt, cherishing the journey from seed to bloom.

?? Impact of Current Position:

Dominique's current position allows her to build people up and instill confidence. Witnessing individuals she worked with early in their recovery journey or met while incarcerated now achieving milestones like graduating college, obtaining certifications, or earning their High School Equivalency brings immense joy and inspiration.
