Meet?Penny Perano
What PEP courses do you facilitate??
I facilitate the PEP Principles program and I'm also training to deliver PEP for Microsoft 365 and PEP for Outlook.
Tell us a bit about your background and what led you to become a PEP facilitator.?
With a science background and a strong interest in education, I was seeking a new challenge when I came across PEP. It was through my sister, a fervent advocate of PEP, and a friend who works for PEP, both of whom are positive and highly effective people, that I was introduced to the program. After experiencing PEP firsthand, I instantly fell in love with it and knew I wanted to be a part of it.
How has being a PEP facilitator influenced your own personal and professional growth??
Being a PEP facilitator has helped in both my personal and professional development. I don’t consider myself very tech savvy at all, but I have learnt a huge amount about the Microsoft 365 suite and continue to do so. Personally, and professionally PEP challenges me to examine my own behaviours and habits and ultimately to practise what I preach, i.e. applying the 4 principles of Work Organisation, planning and prioritising etc.

What do you think is the best thing you have learned through your experience as a PEP facilitator??
It is a great reminder to me every time I facilitate that, as people we are all so different, we have diverse ways of thinking and processing, varied backgrounds/experiences, and different starting points but all can learn and change.
What is one thing you hope participants will take away from your PEP sessions??
The ability to sustain the changes that they have made and to be confident to ask questions of themselves and others, so they are clear on their purpose.
What do you think sets PEP apart from other professional development programs??
The PEP methodology is key. The fact that participants get time to implement across the day is so valuable and greatly appreciated by participants. This implementation, combined with 1:1 coaching and time between modules to embed and practise new behaviours setting participants up for long-term success, sets PEP apart.
