NTOUDI MOUYELO

Managing Director Africa & Chief Commercial Officer

My role

I'm in charge of developing the commercial activities of the Mchezo Group in Africa for the betPawa brand.

I have strong engagement with licence holders and assess and open new markets for our gaming activities. I'm also in charge of developing partnerships to grow the value of our brand and have overall oversight of the corporate activities of Mchezo Group entities in Rwanda. I have worked with the company since 2022.

What I do and why I like it

I discuss and negotiate with licence holders and potential partners to maintain and grow our footprint in Africa. I engage with internal departments such as marketing and compliance to discuss development of our activities in Africa. I like being creative to grow the value of our brand in Africa and develop a corporate entity for our headquarters in Rwanda.

How I got started

I studied engineering in Canada’s Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, where I graduated as an electrical engineer specialised in communications, and then went to Luxembourg School of Finance and Stern University, where I graduated with a master’s degree in banking and finance.

Past experiences

I was previously in charge of designing, developing and promoting the Kigali International Financial Centre as the Coordinator of the financial centre at the Ministry of Finance in Rwanda and then the Chief Investment Officer of Rwanda Finance. It was a very exciting project to work with the team of pioneers who built one of the first international business and financial centres in Sub-Saharan Africa. Within its first 3 years of operations, the centre succeeded in attracting to Rwanda the domiciliation of about USD 1 Billion investment commitment.

Away from the office

I practise tennis and I like to jog regularly. I’m curious and interested in subjects around the creation and preservation of wealth in Africa.
