??Meet the Team: Naima Sultana??
In this month's "Meet the Team," we're excited to introduce Naima Sultana , a Software Engineer here at Naitive. Naima has a passion for MedTech and a drive to build meaningful software solutions.
Take a moment to get to know Naima and her journey!?
???What is your professional background?
"I graduated from University College London, where I completed an integrated Master's in Computer Science in 2023. During my studies, I gained hands-on experience through two internships.
My first internship was at another MedTech company, where I worked on an AI app for COVID-19 test detection. The app could determine the test's type and result. This was during 2021, and the goal was to encourage people to return to work safely by capturing and storing test data in a database. It was a really cool project, and I loved being part of something so impactful.
My second internship was at a bank, which was completely different but still quite cool."
???Why did you join Naitive?
"I've always been drawn to medical technology. When I was in school, I initially considered going into medicine because I loved biology and chemistry, but I eventually realized I didn't see myself as a clinician. However, I still wanted to contribute to healthcare, so I chose computer science as a way to combine my interests in tech and medicine.
When I discovered Naitive, I was immediately intrigued by their work in computer vision and X-ray imaging. The focus on population health aligned perfectly with my interests, and everything just fell into place. I knew this was where I wanted to be."

???How would you describe your role and priorities at Naitive?
"I'm part of the software team,?where we're?building the platform to support OsteoSight?. That involves building all the infrastructure necessary to safely and reliably deploy the product to clinical institutions.
I'm specifically working on the development of the microservice architecture and a microservice?to ensure data flows correctly between different stages of OsteoSight. It's a mix of problem-solving and system development, which I?really?enjoy."
????What advice would you give to your younger self?
"I'd tell myself not to be scared of trying new things and to have faith in my ability to learn on the job. When I was starting out, I doubted whether I had enough experience or skills to succeed, especially in roles outside of graduate schemes. But I've learned that your qualifications don't limit your capacity to grow; it's more like the other way around.
It's so important to believe in yourself and take that leap, even if it feels daunting. You never know how good you might be at something until you give it a go!"
???What are you reading at the moment?
"I'm reading? The Priory of the Orange Tree,?which is a fantasy novel. It's such an engaging story, and I love diving into the world it creates!"
Keep an eye out for our next "Meet the Team" post, where we'll introduce you to more of the amazing people behind Naitive.?
