Meet the team member - Jonathan

1 - Tell us about yourself, your education, and your background.

My name is Jonathan Antivo,? I'm a 31-year-old web developer. I was born and raised in Tacloban, Philippines, where I experienced the life-threatening super typhoon Haiyan in 2013.

I pursued my higher education at AMA, where I studied BSIT. While my educational foundation provided me with a fundamental understanding of technology, it was my first job as a junior web developer that truly ignited my passion for coding.

During my four years with that company, I had the privilege of learning essential coding skills and web development techniques from experienced mentors. It was a formative experience that laid the foundation for my career.

As time went on, I started freelancing, worked for the government, and also became a full-time web developer for a company. I have now a decade of experience in web development, with a particular focus on PHP development.

2 - Describe your role at CBC

I serve as a web developer at CBC, primarily focusing on backend development. As I grew in my role, I also embraced front-end tasks.

3 - What motivates you to work hard??

Firstly, I aspire to secure better opportunities for myself in the future, ?ensuring financial stability to provide for both my own needs and those of my family. ?Additionally, I'm driven by the pursuit of personal growth, aiming for independence and self-reliance in my career.

Furthermore, the rapid evolution of technology motivates me to stay up-to-date so that I can remain competitive and relevant in my field.

4 - What is the most surprising thing that has ever happened to you as a developer?

While I can't pinpoint a single most surprising moment, I believe that each day in my career as a developer has brought its own set of surprises and rewards, making it a dynamic and continually motivating journey.

5 - You are an avid car enthusiast. If you were a car, which car would you be and why?

I would love to be a Ford Territory because it embodies practicality, adaptability, efficiency, and comfort, always ready to take on diverse challenges and make life more comfortable for everyone I encounter.
