Meet the team: Harry Banks

After joining us a few months ago, Harry has already had a huge impact on #teamplanet and the wonderful candidates and clients we work with! I caught up with him to find out how he's finding life at Planet so far!

Why did you join Planet Pharma?

I first spoke with Gemma in 2022 and was given a fantastic first impression of Planet Pharma. When the time was right for me to move companies, Gemma was the first person I thought of. I was really attracted by the 180 model, allowing me to focus on delivering candidates with the best service possible and the opportunity to work with some of the biggest and best pharma companies worldwide.

How has your journey been since you started with us?

The start of my time at Planet has been great, helping a number of candidates to secure new roles in my first few months with many more pending, it’s been terrific to be able to hit the ground running here and see success early on, which isn’t the case everywhere! I was able to settle in quickly with lots of support from not only team leads but other recruiters too.

What were your first impressions of our company culture and team dynamics?

The culture at Planet is brilliant. I was lucky enough to start just before the summer party which was the perfect opportunity to get to know my new colleagues. We have a very collaborative workforce with everyone treated equally no matter their level or job title.

You’ve had a great start to your career here with Planet already, helping an impressive number of candidates secure new roles within your first few months – why do you think you’ve been able to have such an impact so quickly?

I was provided with a lot of on-desk support from my line manager who is always there to answer any questions.? We work a wide variety of roles which allowed me to focus on what suits my skills best.

Since joining the business, how would you describe the opportunity to work with our fantastic global clients?

It’s been really interesting and rewarding, supporting some of the most well-known clients worldwide, and gain insights into such an exciting industry. Being a part of such important projects has enhanced my skills and given me a real sense of satisfaction.

How has the training and support helped you settle into your new role?

The training from day 1 has been excellent. The group training sessions allows us to bounce off each other, share ideas and learn from senior recruiters. The on-desk support has also been extremely helpful, allowing me to address any questions or concerns and giving me the confidence to progress further.

Are there any tools or resources that have been particularly beneficial to you?

On top of the usual recruitment tools and a really solid database, Senior leadership and experienced members across the team are really approachable and accessible in the office to offer help at all times. Not only did this help me to settle in quicker on a personal level, but made problem solving much easier!

2025 is fast approaching, what are your goals for the remainder of 2024?

My goals are to finish the year strong, partner with more amazing candidates, securing them new roles and build a good pipeline for 2025.
