Meet the Team: Grace Wrynn

Greetings from the CreateiQ team!?'Meet the Team'?is a chance for you to get to know the people that make it happen behind the scenes.

This week, we caught up with?Grace Wrynn, Operations Assistant at Linklaters | CreateiQ. She tells us what led her into a career in legal tech and her interests and motivations.

What interests you in Legal Tech?

I kind of fell into it– I worked in tech recruitment and had a strong interest in the tech/software world. I’m finding it really interesting how much the two worlds overlap and can help each other.

What makes you happy at work?

I’m still only settling in but so far getting to work on different projects and areas of the tech world. Also getting to work with and learn from some really smart and experienced people. I’m learning so much about Business, Law and Tech.

What do you do on your commute to/from work?

I either listen to a podcast or will listen to music while reading a book.

What is your most unusual or interesting moment whilst working at CreateiQ? Having a Mario Kart competition/social my second week here. Not what I was expecting when I was joining a law firm.

If you could invent any new tech to make your life better, what would it be? Something that means I don’t have to cook anymore because I hate it.

What was your journey to your current role?

I completed my business degree at home in Ireland before moving to London for a “gap year”. I then worked in Software Engineering Recruitment for a year and knew I wanted to move into a more inhouse operations role. I have really enjoyed getting see everything I heard and learned about in recruitment in real life in this job.

Three dream dinner party guests and why?

1. Kim Kardashian – I love her business mindset and how she just does what she wants. She has created a successful brand and works across so many lanes e.g studying to be a lawyer.
2. Princess Diana – nothing else to say other then she is an Icon.
3. Grace Beverly – Another female boss, she is a great advocate for woman entrepreneurs and investors. Also, love her band Tala.
