Meet the Team - Festive edition 2022!
Meet the Team Festive edition!
Welcome to our 2022 Meet the Team Festive edition!
We shared one with you this time last year, and goodness hasn’t a lot changed in the past 12 months!
We hope you enjoy this years’…..
Let’s start easy! List your favourite:
Christmas Song:
Stacy – I start listing to Christmas music VERY early, I can’t get enough but Fairytale of New York is my favourite ??
Caroline – Oh I love all Christmas music, but one of my favourites has got to be Last Christmas by Wham. I’d probably pick a different favourite every year!
Sara – cheesy Christmas favourite has got to be Merry Christmas Everyone by Slade and I do love a carol or two, Silent Night sends a bit of a shiver down my spine.
Christmas Movie:
Stacy - Muppets Christmas Carol is my favourite, but Love Actually is a close second!
Caroline – I could list loads of films here, but I think Elf has got to top it for me
Sara – It’s a Wonderful Life – saw it for the first time last year and wow, what I have been missing!
Favourite Christmas Food:
Stacy – I have been pondering this one for a while, I love turkey, mince pies, Christmas pudding, even sprouts! If I really had to pick one, I think Yule Log, but leftover turkey curry would have to be a winner for me – even if this isn’t traditional Christmas food!
Caroline – I love the Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings! But… every year my Dad makes ‘turkey parcels’ on Boxing Day with the leftover turkey, and it is my favourite meal of the year.
Sara – anything with currants and sultanas is good with me so Christmas pudding, Christmas cake, mince pies…..
?Is your Christmas tree up yet?
Stacy – yes, it usually goes up the last week in November, and this year was no different - that is as long as I can wait!
Caroline – Our Christmas tree goes up on the first weekend of December, and not a day sooner!
Sara – never until after my birthday (12th Dec), so only just gone up
Is your tree real or artificial? What topper do you have on your Christmas tree and what is your colour theme?
Stacy – my colour theme is champagne pink and my topper is three birds, which represents my little family. I have never had a real Christmas tree, but I do love the smell! I also have a 5 foot singing Santa in my living room!
Caroline – This year we have gone back to an artificial tree, because we have a nearly 1 year old and we thought she might pull it over on herself as she is fascinated with the lights, tinsel and baubles. Our theme is always blue and silver.
Sara – always a real Christmas tree and one that keeps its needles.?Colours red and gold.?We have a gold metal reindeer on the top of our tree and he keeps us all in good order throughout the festive season.
?What was your best ever Christmas gift?
Stacy – I remember waking the whole house up about 4.30am as a child and being thrilled when I had a baby born! The greatest gift ever though is watching my daughter on Christmas morning and spending time with my family.
Caroline – I think my baby being due on Christmas Day was the best little gift for us last year
Sara – as an 11 year old being given a camera, film and photo album, felt like the world was my oyster.
What will you be doing over Christmas this year?
Stacy – This year I am spending time with my sister in law and her family. This year they had a new baby boy so I am happy I get to spend his first Christmas with him and share this special day with them!
Caroline – This is our first Christmas with our daughter, so no doubt we will spend the whole festive period spoiling her! She was due on Christmas Day last year so this Christmas and New Year will be very different and a lot more chaotic ?? we can’t wait!
Sara – our three grown up children will be home for the Christmas weekend and it is the first time all year that the five of us will have been all together so that will be lovely.?After that the wider family will come together at ours and so we have a busy week in store.
?What are your Christmas eve / day traditions?
Stacy – ?I don’t really have any for Christmas eve or Christmas Day, we tend to mix it up! But Boxing Day I always spend with my parents and my sister. I prepare a huge buffet, make cocktails and we play lots of party games! I enjoy Boxing Day just as much as Christmas Day and always have done. ??
Caroline – Christmas Eve we like to deliver the last of the presents to friends and family in the morning, eat snack food all day long and watch a Christmas film in the evening with some mulled wine. This Christmas Day will be different to any other we have had, with our nearly 1 year old, so we will be making some new Christmas Day traditions. Boxing Day we have our infamous turkey parcels and eat mountains of chocolate whilst Christmas movies are on the telly.
Sara – Christmas Eve is curry and then a Christmas film in the cinema.?Christmas Day will be presents, food and lots of games and Boxing Day is a long walk with Christmas cake and hot chocolate to keep us going.
Would you rather be an elf in Santa's workshop or a reindeer on Santa's sleigh and why?
Stacy – I would be an Elf over a reindeer, because I can imagine a workshop being full of Christmas cheer, and importantly a warmer place to work! ?
Caroline – Oo, Santa’s Sleigh… I love the magic of Christmas morning for the little ones that believe Santa has visited so it would be amazing to see that magic myself ??
Sara – I hate to miss out on anything so I am going to say both!
