Meet the Team – Cindy Baldacchini

Cindy is the newest member of the D-Tech team, joining the sales department of our US division earlier this year.

Hailing from the Greater Philadelphia area, Cindy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to D-Tech, having worked in a variety of roles throughout non-profit and educational organizations – including developing curriculums for STEM subjects!

We already love having Cindy as part of the team, thanks to her infectious energy and passion. So, to help our customers get to know her as well as we do, we sat down and asked her a few questions…

Hi Cindy! Welcome to D-Tech. To start, how would you describe your job in three words?

Hey, good question! I would say either…Solving Lending Problems or Selling Lending Solutions. I think I like Solving Lending Problems best.

What's the coolest thing you're working on right now?

I'm working on providing a college with the ability to lend laptops and other devices autonomously, 24/7 with our lendIT vending machine.

Who inspires you?

So many people! I'm inspired by the librarians and teachers who keep finding new, innovative solutions in our rapidly changing world.

What’s the best advice you’ve received in your career?

Always ask: they can only say no!

What’s something you are proud of?

I am proud of always learning new things, whether it was teaching, creating a Computer Science curriculum, or learning about all the great products at D-tech.

It's been great to look ahead at what's next and to have fun bringing that to customers.

What does your perfect working day look like?

I wake up to a great cup of coffee, take a walk or exercise, and then head into the office. The day is a mix of talking with customers and demoing our products. Then I’d head to the beach for dinner and a sunset.

Finally, what is your favorite D-Tech product?

The SMART locker. It allows our customers to lend and charge laptops, tablets, and other devices in real-time. It provides real-time audit updates, so the administrator knows who has which device at any time, and it allows the user to tell the admin if the device is damaged and needs to be repaired. It really is such an impressive product.
