Meet the Team: Chantz Solder

Chantz Solder joined us in the role of Installation Engineer in October and he's already part of the WAV family.

Chantz has already been in the AV world for about a year and a half, having spent his earlier career as a labourer and carpenter. He spent some time in the family business as a security engineer, before seeking a career change which led him to the wonderful world of Audio Visual tech.

Chantz is enjoying the opportunity to travel and see lots of new places, as well as the variety that comes with the job and becoming part of an established team. He says the three biggest skills he brings to work are communication, passion for his work and positivity, and he loves the environment in the WAV office - we're laid back but there's a lot of fun and laughter too.

Outside of work Chantz is happiest playing rugby and socialising with his team mates. Rugby is a huge part of his life and he played for Wasps Academy until the age of 17, when an injury stopped his chances of a professional career. After a period of semi-retirement, he's back playing with his local team, which feels like home. We're delighted to have him on our team too!
