About Cameron Caterio

We are excited to spotlight Cameron Caterio , a highly valued Project Coordinator in our Utility Engineering Division.

Cameron’s journey at EKN began right after college, where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering. He started as a Data Entry Specialist I, contributing to the Tower Assessment Program. Cameron’s knowledge of electrical transmission line structures and his readiness to take on additional responsibilities soon distinguished him within the team.

Cameron took a proactive approach, leading meetings with clients, proposing innovative solutions, and delegating tasks to ensure project success. His efforts led to a series of promotions—from Data Entry Specialist I to Data Entry Specialist II, then to Data Coordinator I, and finally to Project Coordinator I.

Cameron continues to grow in his role, with aspirations to transition into project management. He attributes much of his progress to the support and teamwork at EKN, which have been instrumental in his professional development.

Contributions/Achievements

Cameron has made significant contributions to EKN, particularly his development of a standardized scoring system for the Tower Assessment project. Previously, assessment reports varied due to individual judgment, leading to inconsistent results.

To solve this, Cameron introduced a point-based system that prioritizes structures based on risk of failure, improving accuracy and reliability. This system, created through collaboration with Civil and Corrosion Engineers at Pacific Gas and Electric Company , has led to more consistent reporting and streamlined project outcomes.

His background in engineering enables him to offer unique solutions to challenges, further demonstrating his innovative thinking. Brad has been an outstanding mentor, guiding me toward certifications like CAPM and PMP.

Working alongside my team members, Tiffany Min and Richard Rodriguez, has been a highlight of my time here. They are always receptive to my directions and hold me accountable when necessary, making the teamwork dynamic both rewarding and enjoyable."
