Meanwhile in Interim Times...

…Over the last 3 weeks I have spoken at length with 3 very experienced Interims in different fields, Purchase to Pay (Stephen King), HR (Melanie Steel) and Transformation Director (Elouise di Luca) all of which I had chats with after our Interim Market 2024 Report. I know there are many Recruiters amongst the 1,700 Subscribers so please reach out if there is suitable opportunities or to grow your network.

I have to reiterate based on our Market Report and all my other discussions that it is a very tough Interim Market particularly outside IR35, so be warned there has been no significant change as of yet. Where possible I still strongly recommend you review your Profiles and remember that if you cannot be found you cannot win work. This is no reflection of your innate Professional talents and more a deficiency in Marketing skills.

Over the last 2 weeks I have hosted 3 LinkedIn Lives, the most recent on BUSREQ which we created to demonstrate that Interims create Solutions based on our experience we don't just charge a day rate. This is our new Sector agnostic Business Requirements tool, check it out and see the art of the possible for Interims.

I continue to experiment with the Websites looking for the elixir of what works best but I am a mere Novice in the Marketing stakes so bear with me. My friend Mark Vincent who is a Change specialist has produced a new Newsletter which you may like and I link it here for you:

The Power of Focus - What successful Leaders do Differently

I interviewed Mark last year and his impact on me coupled with a recent Client trip inspired BUSREQ, what can I say folks I only know the best people. Mark also starred in our Market Report and a recent Round Table at Aston Villa. I am happy to interview great people who have something great to share and Mark is a man who many could turn to for Executive Coaching and he would have a positive impact.

I am huge believer in thought leadership and for a man who is usually all action on a project, I like the cerebral approach as well. To this end I created a Newsletter called Program Manager which is Function and Discipline agnostic and reveals the 12 Laws of Change. You can view the first one here:

Program Manager The Laws of Change

I encourage every Interim to have at least one LinkedIn Newsletter, c'mon now folks you can't tell me you write wonderful Client Reports and can't produce an Article...consider yourself challenged.

So between Conferences, LinkedIn Lives, Newsletters, Website rebuilds and our upcoming first Webinar I have successfully cured myself of Erik ten Hag. I stand ready should Utd issue the call.

Have a great week and tune in next Thursday, I am happy to go beyond an hour and talk the talk, so join if you like. Happy to share what I can on how to be an Interim.

Best Regards,

Michael Ryan
