Introducing Andrew…?

Andrew initially joined the team through his consultancy work and was offered the position of Head of Business Development last summer.??

An incredibly intelligent man, Andrew is the team teacher; we all learn something from our conversations with him and he has some fascinating stories to tell.??

Whether he cares to admit it or not, the camera loves Andrew, our photographer has managed to get some great candid model shots of him in our recent photoshoots!?

When did you start at OD Talent Solutions and what attracted you to the role??

I joined the team in June 2022.?

I first encountered Laura as a prospective candidate for another business and she was instrumental in my decision to join them. From the first conversation you just knew that she was on the ball, and she genuinely cared… something I hadn’t encountered for a while in the jobs market.?

Four years on I found myself doing some consultancy work for Laura around business development. I knew what OD Talent Solutions were doing was different but hadn’t appreciated how the subscription-based business model really benefits start-ups and high-growth SMEs. It just made sense to me to get more involved, so I was delighted to join such a dynamic team.?

Outside of your role, what other things do you enjoy about work???

There’s a real buzz around the place as the business gains momentum. Whilst the team are focused on delivering for our clients, there’s a real vibrancy around the office and I love the collaborative approach where everyone looks out for their colleagues. We also feel appreciated which makes a huge difference from my perspective.?

If you could describe your work ethic in one word, what would it be??

Strategic?

Outside of the workplace, what are we most likely to find you doing??

I love enjoying the Somerset countryside and walking Ted, our chocolate lab. I’m also massively into The Fall – the group, not the season – and secretly adding to my vinyl collection!?

Tell us something interesting about you?

I was once held up at gunpoint – not recommended.?

Finally, as animals are a big part of our lives at OD Talent Solutions, what’s your spirit animal and why??

I love watching footage of bears in the wild but wouldn’t like to meet one face-to-face – they’re powerful but cuddly, I guess.
