What does the TDF team mean to you?

Joining The Data Foundry has been a major milestone in my career. As the name says, the team truly feels like a “foundry” to me, a place where one can refine their raw skills, build a solid foundation and grow professionally with adequately provided tools and resources.

The process of creating something valuable requires teamwork and collaboration. Just as a foundry requires a safe and structured environment to function effectively This has been my experience since my first day, and I have always felt welcomed and supported. Regardless of what project we are working on, a quick message or question in our team chat always sparks an engaging discussion or answer, expanding my knowledge everytime.

What you love about working at TDF?

I find working at TDF very rewarding. Every day is filled with energetic, engaging work and interesting challenges that keep you on your toes. The team is a tight-knit, like-minded group, who not only work together towards shared goals but also have a great sense of humour, creating a fun and positive work environment.

We are based in both Melbourne and Sydney, and for Melbourne folks like myself, office days also mean amazing coffee from our local cafe and delightful morning chats on the way there and back.

The “C” that resonates most with me is Career.

As an immigrant coming to Australia, career development has always been an essential part of my plan to integrate and establish myself in this welcoming and diverse country. TDF provides a supportive environment for individuals to grow and develop. I wrote my Growth & Development Plan during my first week and there have always been clear expectations, feedback and guidance from TDF to help me stay on track and make progress towards my goals.

What are you working on at the moment?

At the moment, I am working on elevating and supporting the RMIT University RACE Hub project - a dedicated research-focused, cloud supercomputing facility that enables scalable and elastic high-powered computing for fast, secure, low-cost, data-driven research. Additionally, I recently worked with an emerging start-up that utilises patented innovative engineering products to support the health and aged care sectors.
