This week, we’d like to highlight Anna Heflin, Recruiting Coordinator at TaxBit.?

Q: Tell us a bit about yourself.?

I was born and raised in Seattle. I loved growing up in the PNW, there's nothing like living by the mountains and water. I'm the middle child of three and my family members all live within a 10-minute radius of me—we’re true Seattlites! I went to Marquette University where I got a degree in Communications and Marketing.?

I'm process-oriented and organization is my superpower; these skills go hand in hand with my role on the recruiting team. Before joining TaxBit I worked at Slalom Consulting where I did recruiting and operations.?

Q: What made you choose TaxBit?

The opportunity for growth and innovation is what led me to TaxBit. It's an exciting time to join, and I've learned so much since I started. Making the jump to a startup was definitely nerve wracking, but I couldn't be happier with my decision.

My team at TaxBit was another leading factor. I actually got to visit headquarters and meet my team in Utah during my first week. What an awesome welcome to TaxBit!

Q: What’s your favorite part of working at TaxBit?

The people! I’m always learning from my coworkers. It's an impressive group, and they motivate me each day. I love working across all departments and collaborating with various teams. I'm passionate about candidate experience, and the recruiting process here at TaxBit is exceptional.

Q: What interests you most about the digital assets space?

Crypto is changing the norm of investing. It's redefining the financial landscape; there's endless potential. It's exciting to be a part of that impact and work for an industry leader in this space.

Q: What are some of your favorite activities outside of work?

I've really gotten into cooking this past year. My favorite food blogger is Half Baked Harvest. I try to make a new recipe from her cookbook each week and host my friends. During the winter, my weekends consist of skiing or trying new restaurants. In the summer, I love spending time at my family's place on Vashon Island.?

Q: What is an item on your bucket list?

I want to travel to Africa and go on a safari.?

• Go-to karaoke song: “Dancing Queen” by ABBA, but I’d require backup singers.
• Favorite food: Any Ethan Stowell restaurant. Big pasta and pizza lover!
