Meet Sushmita Nawrikar
Sushmita joined our team in May 2024. She shares, “working as an SAP FICO Consultant for ORBIS America is an experience that goes beyond routine. Every day brings fresh challenges as I meet with clients, understand their unique needs, and provide tailored solutions to their requirements. It is not just problem-solving but an opportunity to connect with people, dive into diverse business requirements, and deliver solutions that make a difference.” Meeting new people and collaborating with her team are aspects Sushmita genuinely enjoys, which add richness to each workday.?
Having recently completed her master's degree in finance from Suffolk University in Boston, Sushmita came into the field inspired by her father, also an SAP consultant, and a series of fortunate events that guided her here. “With a few years of experience, I’ve worked in the construction industry and currently, the manufacturing industry, but I’m eager to explore other sectors, as every industry has its own unique SAP challenges and opportunities,” she says.?
“In my free time, I can’t be easily labeled as strictly ‘outdoorsy’ or ‘indoorsy.’ I enjoy an array of activities; playing sports, working out, hiking, and taking scenic drives, which allow me to unwind and connect with nature. Quality time with friends and getting lost in a good book provide a peaceful balance,” Sushmita says. Recently, she has been focusing on expanding her personal finance skills—part of her commitment to grow in areas that matter personally and professionally. She has also taken up learning Kathak, an Indian classical dance form, which is both challenging and rewarding, adding a unique creative aspect to her routine.?
One of the most captivating books Sushmita has read recently is Men Without Women, by one of her favorite authors, Haruki Murakami. She says, “the collection of short stories artfully explores the lives of men who have experienced the loss of women in their lives, unfolding with the elegance and ease of flowing water. Men Without Women joins my list of cherished reads from Murakami, alongside Norwegian Wood and Kafka on the Shore. Murakami’s imagination, unique perspective, and his blend of reality with fantasy are qualities I deeply admire, and his work remains a constant source of inspiration and reflection.”?
