Meet the SeQuel Team: Erin Greuel

To kick things off, we’re thrilled to shine the light on one of our skilled Senior Account Managers, Erin.

Must-know facts about you?

I grew up in a small farm town in Western Minnesota with a population of 1,500. I attended Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota, for graphic design, where I met my husband.

After college, we traveled for work and lived in Oklahoma, California, Kansas, and Missouri before returning to the Midwest. The two of us celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary in September, alongside our two daughters and dog, Lucy.

What’s your favorite season/time of year?

For sure summer! It's never long enough here in Minnesota, but I also have a birthday in July, so there is lots of celebrating that month.

What's your top tip for building strong client relationships?

I have a couple - my first one is communication. Be open, honest, and overcommunicate to the client as much as possible.

Second, create a personal connection, whether through children, places you've both lived/visited, or even sports teams.

Any hobbies??

I enjoy meal prepping and cooking, in addition to spending time outdoors. My favorite activities are hiking, bike riding, swimming, and kayaking/canoeing with my family. My husband and I also love trying out new restaurants and breweries whenever possible.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

I have a couple of those as well. The first one is to not stress over things you can't control. That's especially hard for me as a parent, as well as a professional. So, I'm constantly reminding myself of that and saying it repeatedly.

The second is "it's not what you know, it's who you know," and that's played a huge part in my professional career.
