Meet the </salties>: Sanna N?sstr?m

What is your role at SALT?

In my role as People & Talent Recruiter in Stockholm I recruit developers and hobby coders to </salt>'s Career Programs in the Nordics. I joined as a Saltie in April last year and my job is to find the most suitable candidates among over a thousand applications per course start, and I do this through CV screening, phone interviews, group interviews and facilitating collaboration workshops. I am also the developers' "Go-To Person" during their consultancy year as full stack developers at clients. Together with the marketing team, ping Anders Jansson Minberger and Niels Berkhout !, I am involved with SALT’s social media presence focusing on brand awareness, employer branding, and incoming leads.?

It is a broad role and I am here for it. I get to talk to passionate people every day and as a people person, I get so much energy out of it.?

What did you do before joining SALT

Ever since I graduated my bachelor in HR & Marketing from Linnéuniversitetet I have been working with recruitment and communication in different industries such as cleantech, ed-tech, public sector and health care. I usually talk about “HR-Sanna” and “Marketing-Sanna” as my two alter egos in the workplace. As the two work fields go hand in hand it falls naturally for me to have a foot in each field and my first job after my bachelor was actually divided 50/50 between where I switched departments at lunch. That was perfect for my egos.?

What strengths and skills do you bring to your position?

With a positive mindset and a high level of responsibility, I bring effectiveness, structure and calmness to the workplace. While being professional I also enjoy adding a bit of fun as I go. An example of how I wanted to infuse fun in a serious setting was at the beginning of my career as I was applying for jobs. I considered adding a joke to my CV and it was live until a friend kindly, and firmly, told me to remove it. It had something to do with a snowmobile if I remember correctly.

What fun hobbies do you have??

Baking anything with chocolate, play football with my Korpen-team and I am sometimes an extra at movie sets, so you might see this face pop up when you least expect it. Friends and family are also a big part of my life, and from time to time swinging a kettlebell at the gym.

I enjoy new environments and have lived in Germany, Norway and in 5 cities around Sweden. Born and raised in Skellefte? up North and moved to Stockholm 1,5 years ago. Recently invested in an apartment with my partner so I am now in debt in this city – so I guess I’m staying for a while here in the big city.?

Working with Sanna during my recruitment process was a fantastic experience that I will always remember. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable and efficient in her role as a recruiter, but she also brought a unique level of humor and friendliness that made the process a delightful experience. Sanna truly went above and beyond to answer any question that i had. She took the time to understand my career goals, skills, and aspirations, and then worked tirelessly to find me the perfect fit. What really sets Sanna apart is her passion for her work. She truly cares about her candidates and goes the extra mile to make sure they are placed in a role that will both challenge and fulfill them. This level of dedication is truly rare and greatly appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend Sanna and </SALT> to anyone thats looking to become a Full Stack Developer. Sanna is not only professional, but also a joy to work with. Her mix of humor, friendliness, and expertise make her the ideal choice for anyone looking to take the next step in their career. ??
