ABOUT YOU

My name is Sabrina Stoertz, I am 33 years old, and I was born and raised in Germany, growing up and still living in a beautiful town called Bensheim near Frankfurt am Main. I studied Sociology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt and am the first one in my family to have graduated from university. After graduation, I strove to gain insights into different industries and roles, and I enjoyed adapting to new tasks and business environments as well as mastering the unique challenges each role came with.
ABOUT THE AFTERMARKET
- How would you describe the Aftermarket to someone who has never heard of this industry?
The Aftermarket is an industry that extends the lifetime of vehicles by providing spare parts. In that sense the Aftermarket is an industry of sustainability since it makes an indispensable contribution to this crucial topic. Whether we are talking about suppliers, workshops, or other service providers: The people in the industry make a difference for a more sustainable future and I’m proud to be part of that.

ABOUT YOU & THE AFTERMARKET
- How did you become aware of, and why did you choose the Aftermarket to work in?
I found the Aftermarket by chance. I applied for a job as an office coordinator at the beginning of 2021. After one year in this position, I decided to apply for my current role since it seemed like an excellent opportunity for professional development. While it catered to my strengths, the job included several tasks I hadn’t done before in previous roles. As I like to challenge myself, I seized this opportunity, and it was the right decision. Along the way, I met a lot of great colleagues I highly appreciate, and I’m looking forward to continuing my professional journey with them.

ABOUT YOUR COMPANY
- Which company are you working with & which type of job?

ABOUT YOUR JOB
- What’s your job title?
I work as a Professional in Commercial Administration in the Sales Service Europe Department.
- How would you describe your job?
Here we have a team dedicated to bonus payments and I am part of this team. I serve as a point of contact for Controlling, Free Cash Flow Planning, Key Account Managers, and Sales Service Professionals who take care of the Key Accounts I am responsible for. My job contains a variety of tasks that require a high level of conscientiousness: documentation, maintenance of the bonus software, working with big amounts of data and manual calculation.
- What do you fancy most in your job?
?These are the tasks I fancy the most in my job since they cater to four of my seven significant strengths: Detail Orientation, Critical Thinking, Result Focus, and Self-improvement. When I moved into this role, I accompanied a transition process in our bonus administration landscape, which we successfully completed. That was a challenge I highly enjoyed being part of.
ABOUT JOINING THE AFTERMARKET
- Why should somebody join this industry in your opinion?
You should join the Automotive Aftermarket if it’s important for you to work in an industry that contributes to sustainable living, and if you like being part of a dynamic environment since the Automotive Aftermarket is not only contributing to change but also constantly changing itself. The need for a more sustainable future and the innovations developed due to that need as well as new legal requirements belong to the main driver’s that put the whole Automotive Industry into transition and made the Automotive Aftermarket even more complex – making it an excellent time to join that exciting industry.
