In the heart of Alberton, a plumber by trade is gearing up for a fight that’s about more than just titles and trophies.?Roland Palm, known in the ring as?The Mighty Hammer, is stepping into the squared circle at the?Champions for Charity?event on August 3rd, sponsored by?Plumblink?and organized by?PIRB1.
At 29, Roland has spent a decade mastering the pipes and wrenches of plumbing, co-owning?Repsa Plumbing. But it’s his passion for boxing that has him throwing jabs and hooks for a cause. A die-hard fan of West Ham United, his ring name is a nod to his favourite football team and a symbol of his fighting spirit.
Family and community are the cornerstones of Roland’s life. With a supportive family in his corner and a business partner who shares his values, he’s a man who fights for more than just personal glory. Together with JP, they’ve built a company that stands for upliftment and leading by example.
Roland’s training regimen at?Zaki New Life Fitness Gym?is as disciplined as it is rigorous. From Monday to Saturday, he dedicates himself to a mix of cardio, bag work, pad work, sparring, and strength conditioning, saving Sundays for well-deserved rest.
His philosophy is simple: challenge yourself to be the best, not just for personal gain, but to inspire and elevate others. When the opportunity to participate in?Champions for Charity?arose, Roland saw it as the perfect chance to combine his love for boxing with his commitment to giving back.
