I write to draw your attention to our CHINA SCREEN documentary collection. It is the result of my work as a producer / researcher in contemporary China, for more than 20 years now. Initiated at the time by my quest for ? Otherness ?, this self-suggested mission allowed me, through innumerable journeys and encounters, to constitute a corpus of independent documentaries shedding light more authentically than the Chinese official media onto the wonders and mysteries of this millennial civilization. Without forgetting to look at the many contradictions and problems of a newly emerged country. In short, China Screen is a set of cinematographic works allowing the Western observer to get a much better idea of the spiritual, cultural and societal richnesses and shortcomings of our new neighbor: post-Mao China. Once a year, in October, we present a new selection of films in our China Screen Festival. The films are shown in the Entrep?t arthouse cinema in Paris and then travel to 10 other major European cities. 2018 will be the eighth year of this initiative. We also organize a monthly cycle of screenings of the same films. Finally, we often organize, in partnership with cultural institutions (Musée Guimet, Center Sèvres, Musée Cernuschi ....) screenings (ad hoc or in series) of certain films selected from the wealth of the collection. We are very open to any new partnerships in this direction, in France and in all other European countries.
