Meet the Qlik Dev Group - Eat. Sleep. Qlik. Repeat.

Did you know that there's a craze that's sweeping the planet at the moment?

You might think it's Donald Trump's presidential campaign, maybe the release of Naughty Dog's finale to the Uncharted series for PS4, or even Andy Murray's assault on the French Open. But you would be wrong. Anyone who attended Qlik's Qonnections conference in Orlando last month would be able to tell you the phrase that pays:

Eat. Sleep. Qlik. Repeat.

Uttering these immortal words is the first step to joining the inner circle of Qlik Dev Group, which is fronted admirably by the Leadership team of Jason Michaelides, Matt Crowther and Richard Pearce.

So, who are Qlik Dev Group and what is our mission?

1. To create an international organisation that engages and represents Qlik technologists, enhancing their knowledge with technical presentations from industry leaders and members of the community, ultimately improving the quality of Qlik product delivery across the globe.
2. To always know where Qlik’s “head is at”.
3. To provide feedback to Qlik on both product and company process. (And be listened to.)
4. To eat pizza and drink beer in an honest setting that is totally free from any sales bias.

Qonnections was a very busy time for Dev Group. For the first time ever, we managed to gather the Regional Leaders from the vast majority of our current locations, with the aim of discussing the evolution of the group.  We are growing faster than we ever imagined possible!

Qlik Dev Group are now represented in over 20 regions throughout the world (I'm responsible for Edinburgh!), but we're not finished there! We still have, as Jason so succinctly put it on stage at Qonnections, "huge swathes of land that do not have a red pin in there!"

QDG also had their own booth at Qonnections, as well as 2 presentations in the Expo Hall.  It's also well worth noting that our influence is growing.  Rapidly.  As illustration of that, we were delighted to get a rather extensive shout in General Session, giving us exposure to over 3000 attendees.  So a big thank you to Qlik CTO, Anthony Deighton, for giving us that opportunity!

What's that?  You need more reasons to be involved?  Ok, sure!
