Meet Qatar’s McFamily’s Longest-Serving Members
Creating a great customer experience starts with a great employee experience. We believed this in 1995, when we first opened our doors in Qatar. And we believe in this today.
McDonald’s Qatar has always been a people business. We are proud of the hard work and dedication of our entire McFamily, which has helped position us as market leaders and the best in Qatar’s quick-service restaurant industry for the past 27 years. Knowing that trust and dedication drives growth and builds our legacy, we have always strived to be a brand where our customers can experience feel-good moments and our team members always feel proud working, just like Ayoub, Rafael, and Jimmy!
Meet three extraordinary McFamily members, who have been associated with us, here at McDonald’s Qatar, for over a quarter of a century.
Mr Ayoub Mozaffari joined McDonald’s Qatar as Service Crew on 25 December 1995. Today, after 27 years, he’s the Head of Operations.
Congratulations, Mr Ayoub, on being one of McDonald’s Qatar’s longest-serving employees! Do you recall your first day on the job?
I remember my first day as Service Crew as if it was like it was yesterday, even though I am still in awe of how long it has been. I remember trying to get around in the kitchen, and of course, feeling lost. However, I also remember with fondness how the management team and staff were all very helpful and friendly and welcomed me with open arms.?
Fun fact: on my first day, I had a McChicken sandwich for a lunch meal, which to date, is one of my favourite burgers at McDonald’s.?
What words best describe McDonald’s Qatar’s work culture?
Friends. Family. Teamwork. Care. Passion. Love.
Rafael Cruz David joined McDonald’s Qatar as Service Crew on 8 November 1995. Today, after 27 years, he’s the Accommodation Consultant.?

Rafael, which year(s) of service was/were your favourite? Why?
Easy! It was 2006. I was named ‘Restaurant Manager of the Year,' and I was given the opportunity by McDonald’s Qatar to travel to Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt to receive my award. I have extremely fond memories of carrying the Qatari national flag, along with other delegates and recipients who also attended.?
What is your favourite McDonald’s Qatar burger and why?
If anyone knows me, they’ll tell you I am a classic person; hence, I love the double cheeseburger. It’s neither too big nor too small – it’s just perfect!
Jimmy David Rosario joined McDonald’s Qatar as Service Crew on 25 September 1997. Today, after 25 years, he’s a Restaurant Manager.
Jimmy, you must have seen a lot throughout your time – how has the business changed over the time you have been here? What has been key to its growth?
When I came to Qatar in 1997, McDonald’s Qatar had only three restaurants—and all three of them only offered dine-in and takeaway. Today, we have 68 restaurants and depending on the branch, we offer dine-in, delivery, drive-thru, party areas, play areas, and so much more. I have seen this transformation and growth in our guest experience occur before my very eyes, and I’m very proud to have played my role in this success story.
What has kept you at McDonald’s Qatar for so many years?
25 years ago, I came to Qatar and held the responsibility of being a McDonald’s Service Crew member in a foreign country for the first time in my life as a young person. Today, I’m a Restaurant Manager at one of the most popular restaurant branches in Qatar, and my journey has been very rewarding. Putting it simply—what has kept me here is that I believe that we have a very rewarding system, which endorses hard work and gives credit when it’s due.
