Meet Patrick: the crypto and real estate enthusiast

It’s time to meet yet another exceptional member of the team. Patrick Koch is essentially Azqira’s employee #1. Having met him while the company was still an idea formulating in our founder's heads, Patrick jumped at the opportunity to join us on this adventure and has never looked back. His passion and tenacity in everything he does has an infectious quality on the rest of the team.There is no doubt that we are where we are today because of the dedication and passion that he has shown for Azqira. Patrick heads up our relations with our hotel partners on the platform, talking to resorts and luxury developers all across the world from Bali to Mexico and beyond. The kind of job almost anyone would be jealous of. So without further ado, meet Patrick:

1.) You’ve been with Azqira effectively since day one. What made you join the team?

First and foremost it was definitely the people in the company that attracted me to Azqira. Of course, there was already my interest in blockchain and crypto, but I got to know Tom and Chris before I really knew anything about the company. They’re really nice guys. Then it just made so much sense to join the team. I was already involved in real estate and crypto, So the whole process of joining Azqira was actually quite natural.

2.) Considering that you spend your days talking to hotels and resorts around the world about the Azqira platform. Where in the world is your ultimate bucket list destination?

Ah man! It is definitely Soneva in the Maldives. It's one of the hotels that we work together with. It must be one of the most beautiful places in the world. I can’t wait to go!

3.) Azqira has a unique take on the importance of family and home life. What has it been like growing a startup and being a father at the same time?

It’s really interesting. When you enjoy your work and what you do, it makes such a big difference. You get so much energy out of it. Instead of being in a job that pulls energy from you because you don't like it. I get to work for a company that I really like in a position that I am passionate about. And when it comes to focusing on family I can give 100% of myself there too. I can reinvest my energy into my family.

4.) What drives you to work for a ground-breaking company like Azqira?

Since I was a little boy I always really wanted to build something together with my friends. During my life all through my teenage years and my twenties I noticed that none of my friends had the same drive. They all had different plans and seemed to be much less ambitious. When I had the chance to work with Azqira, effectively since day one it gave me unbelievable motivation because I have finally been able to realise this dream of mine.
