Meet our Totems ~Ann~
For the month of April I would like to introduce the talented people who create the magic at Two Tall Totems. Day 11 is all about Ann Kang.
Ann was destined to be a designer. This is evident in her choice of fashion, her creative nails, and her natural ability to make things look beautiful and be functional. While design school is important I believe the skill of a designer is something you are given at birth. Luckily Ann was born under an extra flashy, shiny, and fabulous star.
Ann was introduced to me in a less than normal fashion. My wife is a tour guide and she met Ann and her family on one of her trips to the Rockies. My wife phoned me to say that she met someone who would fit perfectly into the TTT family. Like all smart husbands I listened to my wife and asked for Ann to send me her portfolio. What she sent impressed our team very much and we were excited to hire her. So lesson here people... ALWAYS listen to your wife :)
I pride myself on having studied the Korean language for a few years so I can converse with my wife's family in the "old country." Ann has problems with my Jeollabuk-do accent though. I am sure this is the problem as this scenario happens pretty consistently. I speak to Ann in Korean... she stares at me puzzled. I say it a second time even clearer... Again the puzzled look.. I tell her in English and she says, "Ohh you mean....blah blah".. which I swear sounds the same as I said. Jokes on her though.. I won't stop trying.
We pride ourselves at TTT to be very design driven. We have world class team of designers who I would go to war beside. Ann's skills give me confidence to make such a bold statement. On top of this clients really love working with her. She is patient, a great listener and produces some amazing work that allows our developers to paint by numbers.
I enjoy working with Ann immensely. I take paternal joy witnessing how much she has grown professionally since she started. I am excited to continue making amazing products with Ann!!!
