Q: Can you tell me about yourself and your experience at Transcat (formerly NEXA, a Transcat Company)?
A: My name is Mike, and I have the privilege of serving as the Service Lead for Transcat’s Maintenance, Availability, Reliability, and Spares (MARS) services. With over 22 years of experience in maintenance and reliability, my career spans diverse industries, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and manufacturing, complemented by 12 years of dedicated service in the U.S. Navy, where I gained hands-on experience leading maintenance and reliability operations on submarines and during shore duties.
After my time in the Navy, I worked as a Senior Reliability Engineer at Merck, where I managed capital projects, developed maintenance strategies, and implemented master data systems. Joining Transcat was a natural next step for me, as I saw an opportunity to address a critical gap in high-quality contractor solutions for maintenance and reliability.
I currently lead the MARS services team, focusing on leadership, project management, client partnerships, and team development. I'm deeply passionate about helping clients optimize their maintenance strategies and empowering our team to deliver exceptional results through industry best practices.
