Meet our new Care Ambassador Simone Swanwick

Each quarter, MATCHESFASHION customer care announces a Care Ambassador. The recognition programme is all about celebrating those who bring our Leadership Behaviours to life, and we encourage people within the team to nominate those who have been walking the walk and talking the talk.

Here we speak to our current ambassador Simone Swanwick.

How does it feel to be our quarterly Care Ambassador?

‘I'm so incredibly proud.?I've loved every minute of my MATCHESFASHION journey so far, and to have received this accolade and to see the kind comments from everyone has blown me away!’

Is there a Leadership Behaviour that resonates with you the most and why?

‘I think the Leadership Behaviour that resonates most would be the High-Performance Team Player. I joined MATCHESFASHION just as we were about to head into peak, and with it being a completely different business sector from my previous jobs, it was a little daunting – not to sound too cheesy, but “team work makes the dream work”, and it is so true!?For me, it was so important to keep our teams informed about performance (during a very successful peak) so they knew why we were giving certain directions and making different decisions, and also letting them know that their efforts are hugely appreciated to keep everyone pulled together.’

We’re all leaders at MATCHESFASHION and we’re accountable for our own growth and development. What will you be doing in 2022 to support your own growth?

‘Two things for me. I’m a real data nerd and I’ve been enjoying the sessions that our BI team have been running to support and educate us about how we compile data –so I'm going to work on building my knowledge of that to really get into the nitty gritty. Also, keeping myself authentic, curious and humble, and continuing to learn about other departments and the bearing their work has within customer care.’
