3 things we should know about you
Versatile, Competitive and I love music.??
Can you unpack your intern role for us?
My intern role is in asset management - both operational and strategic. I work with the property managers and together with the team are accountable and responsible for overseeing everything that has to do with our respective assets – including growth and value. I assist the L2D asset managers as well as review, and scrutinise certain documents compiled and recorded by the property managers and other specialists for approval, authorising and verification.
Why did you want to get into the property sector?
Since I was young, I have always been interested in seeing environmental change and development which led me to learning about the built environment. I also learnt that specialising in the property sector is still a fairly new field and I believe I can make my mark within the sector. Additionally, property is the safest asset one can invest in which also deals with large transactional cost. I am good with numbers and have the creative and intellectual capacity to build value from it.
What does a typical day entail?
Attending feedback meetings with the team to cover tenant/customer queries, approvals, high-level decision making, concerns, investigations, and performance evaluations. It also entails establishing ways to create more value for shareholders which requires management, analysis and creativity.?
