Meet our Advisory Board

The Cheshire Business School has recruited an Advisory Board to support our management team, providing a sounding board and bringing a wealth of experience from the education sector and business community. The seven members include:

• Mrs Rachel Kay - Founder and CEO of CBS. With a wealth of education sector experience, strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset, excels at driving provision of high-quality education, while pursuing growth and partnership opportunities;?
• Mr Jake Mairs, (Chair of Advisory Board) Jake is the Associate Director for Organisational Development at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, where he is responsible for the culture, engagement, competency and capability of the Trust’s 6000 colleagues; including leading workforce transformation and the equality, diversity and inclusion agendas.?He comes with a wealth of experience and is on the Board of Governors at Macclesfield College;?
• Mr Iain Lees – (Deputy Chair of Advisory Board) retired CEO of VCG - An experienced, commercially and financially driven Director/Executive with extensive Private Equity experience, used to operating at the most senior levels internally and externally in a variety of industries;
• Mr Steve Mostyn - An experienced designer and director of senior executive education programmes. His expertise is in the concept of leadership as a narrative process; he has also been involved in innovation in executive education for a number of providers. He is an Associate Fellow at Oxford Sa?d Business School;
• Mr Robert Smethurst - Local businessman and entrepreneur. Owner and Director of Macclesfield FC Club. Currently works very closely with the College with the football academy;
• Sarah Hunter - Relationship Banker working with Corporate and Commercial businesses in Manchester and Cheshire.?Focused upon supporting and helping clients and their subsidiaries as they plan for the future.
• Tracy Cosgrave - Director of Employer and Commercial Services for Macclesfield College.?As part of her role, Tracy works directly with employers from all sectors across the region.?She also sits on the board of the local Chamber of Commerce;?
• Helen Fazackerley – Head of Corporate Services for Macclesfield College and a wealth of experience in high end hospitality and events management;
