Meet the newest members of Belle Tire and find out why they joined TEAM BELLE

Over the last few months I’ve been asked the same questions over and over: “Who does Belle Tire hire, what relative work experience, and what type of person?” Most are shocked when I reply, “Belle Tire has a spot for everyone, regardless of their past work experience." I am proud to say that our team is one of the most diverse you will find, and the only common denominator is a genuinely good person with a strong work ethic and passion for helping the people in their community.

I decided to introduce a few of the people that have joined Belle Tire during our aggressive growth in Indiana, which started three years ago. I encourage you to read these very quick bio's and ask yourself if you would be a good fit with Belle Tire; or perhaps you know someone who would benefit from a conversation with me about joining our team. Belle Tire truly is a one of a kind organization. We pride ourselves on always doing the right thing for our people and our customers. It’s easy for an organization to “talk” about being employee focused and customer driven, but these bio's will show that we “walk the walk” at Belle Tire.

Derrick Fergerson; 26 years old and has been with Belle Tire for 3 years. Derrick was working at McDonalds when he decided to make the jump to Belle Tire. The reason Derrick joined Team Belle was: “Belle Tire allowed me to be myself and accepted me for who I was, not who they wanted to create me to be. Three years later I’m now running my own store in Ft. Wayne Indiana.”

Kyle Meinerding; 22 years old and has been with Belle Tire for 2 months. Kyle will be graduating in December, with a degree in Organizational Leadership. The reason Kyle joined Team Belle was: “I joined for the culture, which I would say promotes a sense of comradery and inclusivity, as well as the opportunity for career advancement.”

Ray Turner Sr; 63 years old and will be joining the Belle Team this summer. Ray Turner Sr. has been in the automotive industry for over 30 years, and recently worked for Monro as an inventory auditor. The reason Ray joined Team Belle was: “The opportunity to close out my career with a team that puts the customer first regardless of what it takes. I get to be one of those guys!”

Troy King; 36 years old and has been with Belle Tire for 6 weeks. Troy spent 17 years at Staples and recently came to us from Lowe’s.  The reason Troy joined Team Belle was: “It’s a company that’s active in the community that it serves, and Belle lets me do what I love, taking care of my customers”

Robert Schick; 27 years old and has been with Belle Tire for 3 weeks. Robert is fresh out of college. The reason Robert joined Team Belle was: “I like the family owned aspect and the fact that all the employees I have met so far are very kind and professional. I like the philosophy of Belle Tire and their willingness to accommodate my job location preferences." 

Michael Smith; 43 years old and has been with Belle Tire for 7 months. Mike came to us after spending 10 years with Aaron’s. The reason Mike joined Team Belle was: “I made some phone calls and did some research to find out they were family owned and I wanted to know how they treated their customers and employees. I’ve seen how awesome Belle Tire culture is first hand when my mother passed away and Belle went out of their way to extend a hand, it was awesome.”

Josh Ottinger; 41 years old and has been with Belle Tire for 3 weeks. Josh spent 7 years at T-Mobile and 9 years at Penske. The reason Josh joined Team Belle was: “The company has a great reputation and history. I knew my experience would provide great contribution to Belle Tire.”

Jake Higgins; 28 years old and has been with Belle Tire for 7 months.  Jake spent 10 years in the industry at Tire Barn. The reason Jake joined Team Belle was: “The culture at Belle Tire is amazing, and the opportunities for growth are endless if you just put in the effort.”

Danny Zurface; 33 years old and has been with Belle Tire for 1 month. Danny worked as a digital media installer for Dowling Sons for 7 years, and previously worked for Discount Tire and Tire Barn. The reason Danny joined Team Belle was: “I saw a great family owned company where I can display my skills and knowledge of the industry. Belle Tire and I share the same passion for going above and beyond for anybody and everybody… every single time.”

We are so thankful that these individuals, and so many others, have chosen Belle Tire as their home, team, and family!
