1. What prompted you to pursue a career with Campion Homes?
After leaving school at 17, I was destined for a career in the Construction industry. Faced with the choice of becoming an Apprentice Joiner or an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor, I opted for the latter, influenced by my father. I started my career as a Quantity Surveyor with a local building contractor where, interestingly, many of my current colleagues and Joint Managing Director Dougie Herd were also employed.?
In 2006 after fulfilling various commercial roles with subcontractors, I joined Campion Homes with the aim of returning to an all-trades main contractor to continue my career.

2. What is the best thing about your job at Campion Homes?
Since joining Campion Homes, it became evident that the directors had a proactive and innovative approach with a family-run business feel, where everyone knows each other and management engages with their staff. These core values are followed to this date within all areas of the business despite its rapid growth, which speaks volumes about the directors.
Working in various offices and on-site, I've found the staff within Campion to be fantastic collaborators. We function as one team—from labourers and telehandler drivers to site managers, sales advisors, office staff and directors. This collaborative environment is what I enjoy, and I hope it continues. Driven by the goal of making even small improvements to streamline our work, I've had the opportunity to progress within the business from Quantity Surveyor to Senior Quantity Surveyor to Technical Manager. Working alongside clients, clients' quantity surveyors, subcontractors, and suppliers, I strive to maintain strong working relationships and have made lasting friendships along the way.
3. What would you tell someone considering a career in housebuilding/construction with Campion Homes?
If you're contemplating a career in the Construction industry with Campion Homes, I would say read the above. We are heading in the right direction with a proven track record.
