What?do you?like best?about?working?at MOIA???
For quite some time, I am making an effort in my life to live sustainably. It has become an important factor in many of my regular life decisions. This was the reason which drew me towards working at MOIA because I wanted to bring this value in my professional life. Therefore, it makes me very happy that I work at a company which adds a positive impact to the environment. Apart from the company’s mission, people at MOIA are highly passionate about it which sets the ball rolling. Additionally, the collaborative effort of every one involved here to make it a nice and a welcoming place to work by ensuring diversity, inclusion, and mental well-being is very impressive.??
What?was your?most?exciting/fun?moment?at MOIA??
We recently had a hackathon which was quite fun. We worked on a small project for two days. It was a learning-booster because some of us in the team were new to the technology and we provided a solution to enhance the everyday work of a developer?in the company. It was very well organised and I met new people which was great.??
How?does?your?day-to-day?at work?as?an iOS developer?look?like? ?
We are T-shaped teams, therefore I am a part of two teams - iOS chapter team and booking team (responsible for the whole feature). My typical work day is about coding, code review and meetings which is explained below:?

How?do you?move? What?is?your?favourite?mobility?option????
Bike - usually in summer and sunny days, MOIA - I use it often when I am travelling to the airport, Hauptbahnhof (when I am traveling, I usually pre-book my MOIA in advance so I can just get off the train and head straight to my home) and late at night (safety first ??), and public transport. My favourite mobility option is always one of these, depending on the type of journey.??
What?should?we?know?about?you???
I come from a city named Lucknow in India. I like coding, traveling, making travel videos, painting and planting.??
How?did?you?make?it?into?tech????
I?had started to learn coding at a young age in school (3rd grade or so - sorry it's been a long time to remember the exact time ??) with LOGO programming language to move the turtle (a fancy name for a triangle in LOGO world) around in a terminal looking application (back in the days there were no pretty GUIs ??). Then moved on to learn BASIC programming which was a bit advanced with “if-then-else”, and later Java in school as well. Later, I studied bachelor in computer engineering in New Delhi in India and then moved to Munich, Germany for M.Sc. Informatics in 2017. So you can already figure it out that I like coding and tech a lot ??. It was not an easy journey to be honest and especially as a woman you have to fight against the stereotypes in your day-to-day life. Although, I have been fortunate to have a supporting family, and great mentors who have empowered me to follow my tech-dream. Therefore, for me, it is important that I always encourage young girls to not listen to the negative remarks of the society to hamper their ambitions and rather take it as a challenge and prove them wrong ??.
