Meet Michael, "A Breast Cancer Thriver," as He Says in Our Production

Meet Michael Singer who was diagnosed with "stage 2B ductal carcinoma in situ of left breast." His sister had been diagnosed before him with "stage 4 de novo," which spread to the brain, bone, and liver. She died.

Michael is featured in our production. In case you missed it, here it is (click above). The photo is presented with permission from Michael. The photo was taken by his wife.

Towards the end of our production (https://youtu.be/1vPh1zcGyW8), we present the number of people who die because of cancer. That number is NOT fictional. True, not all cancer deaths are caused by breast cancer.

The alarming number is infuriating!

This year, because of C-19, in my country of birth, patients with cancer were denied or postponed treatment because hospitals were not yet ready to face a pandemic and continue treatments for cancer. Do you realize that by so doing their condition worsen, their cancer advanced? Do you realize that this is not to provoke a sad emoji but a revolt so that the medical system changes?

It is beautiful people like Michael that speak up and help me continue "my" work. I put it with quotation marks not to mock it, but to suggest it is mine inasmuch as it belongs to all those whom I have met over the years.
