This article explores the relationship between different types of interorganizational collaboration and specific CE initiatives in the automotive sector. https://lnkd.in/eFyiQsKM Authors Silvia Lisi, Benito Mignacca, Michele Grimaldi, and Marco Greco found that focal firms primarily leverage interorganizational collaboration with suppliers to implement CE initiatives, mainly recycling and reducing initiatives. Focal firms relatively often collaborate with multiple actors and customers to implement CE initiatives, particularly recycling initiatives. Of note, collaboration with universities and research institutes plays a minor role in CE initiatives, assuming only a relatively higher relevance in CE initiatives with the highest degree of circularity.? https://lnkd.in/eFyiQsKM ? NEW in #IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, “What Motivates Solvers’ Participation in Crowdsourcing Platforms in China? A Motivational-Cognitive Model.” The voluntary participation of individuals is critical to the success of an online #crowdsourcing platform (OCP) and acts as a major obstacle for many organizations seeking engagement with solvers. Based on social cognitive theory and motivation theory, authors Xiaoxiao Shi, Richard David Evans, and Wei Shan propose an integrative model to examine solvers’ intrinsic and extrinsic #motivations and personal #cognition that influence their participation in OCPs, as well as the influences of intrinsic and extrinsic motivations on individuals’ personal cognition. Results show that different motivations play varying roles in solvers’ participation in OCPs. Personal cognition (i.e., perceived self-efficacy and personal outcome expectation) can exert significant and positive effects on solvers’ participation, although solvers’ personal cognition has no significant influence on their breadth of participation. Our findings demonstrate that extrinsic motivations (i.e., monetary reward and gain face) and intrinsic motivation (i.e., enjoyment) are positively associated with solvers’ self-efficacy and personal outcome expectations. https://lnkd.in/eYj-axDv ?
