Meet Medcan’s Corporate Growth Intern - Muhammad Abubakar Kitchlew
Muhammad Abubakar Kitchlew joins Medcan as the Corporate Growth Intern in the Medcan Early Talent Program during the Summer 2023 term. He is currently completing his Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Management Science at Toronto Metropolitan University and is expected to graduate in April 2024.?

Q: What are you looking forward to learning during your internship experience??
A: My ongoing pursuit of professional growth and self-development remains a top priority. Medcan has proven to be a catalyst for exactly that. During my time here, I have eagerly embraced the chance to receive constructive feedback, identify areas for improvement, and proactively seek avenues to enhance my skill set and expand my knowledge. I deeply value the insightful advice shared by my colleagues, drawing from their experiences in overcoming challenges, and learning how to effectively navigate similar situations, ultimately empowering me for future success.?

Q: What do you like the most about Medcan’s internship program??
A: During my time at Medcan, I have observed a nurturing and collaborative work culture that extends seamlessly to the internship program. I have been privileged to receive unwavering support and guidance from my manager and team, all of whom have demonstrated unwavering dedication to my personal and professional growth. From the moment I joined Medcan, I was greeted with the resounding affirmation, "No question is a bad question", a sentiment that has resonated with me ever since. The availability of knowledgeable colleagues who are approachable and eager to provide insightful answers has immensely contributed to my overall development. Q: What has been the most rewarding part of your experience at Medcan so far??

Q: How did you learn about Medcan’s internship opportunity???
A: I was actively seeking out internship opportunities for the upcoming term. During my search on LinkedIn, I came across the Corporate Growth internship posting from Medcan. I recognized a strong alignment between the position's requirements and my previous internship experiences. Encouraged by this compatibility, I promptly submitted my application for the internship opportunity at Medcan.?
Muhammad is one of the five interns who joined the Medcan Early Talent Program during the Summer 2023 term. This program offers opportunities in the Summer, Winter and Fall each semester.?The program is designed to provide soon-to-be and recent graduates with corporate and clinical work experience. Our interns have an opportunity to build their professional networks, be mentored by members of Medcan’s leadership team, and gain valuable work experience by participating in a variety of projects.?
