Meet Max Jones

In this week's Employee Spotlight, we're thrilled to introduce Maxwell Jones , the latest addition to our team of Account Managers at Pathlabs. Stepping into his new role this week, Max is already making a significant impact by embodying the core values that Pathlabs holds dear.

What was your original career prospect when growing up? What are you doing now at Pathlabs??

While I didn’t have a clear career goal growing up, I was always most interested in STEM, and my career has continued down that path to an extent. I’m currently an Account Manager at Pathlabs and enjoy the variety in the day-to-day, blending analytical tasks with personal connection to drive business results and build positive relationships.

What is the one activity that you are obsessed with? Why are you obsessed?

I’m currently obsessed with fermentation. It started a few years back, making Kombucha, and has grown into a regular hobby of mine to eat and make fermented foods whenever possible. Fermenting unlocks a ton of flavor and texture in food that can’t be created otherwise; moreover, it’s a fairly passive/easy activity that can really level up a meal.

Are you a Spotify, Apple Music, or Pandora Person? Or do you like to listen to the radio, records, CDs?

Spotify is my music app of choice, but when I’m in the car, I prefer to listen to the radio. Specifically, classical music on KDFC keeps me calm and focused while on the road.?

What is your favorite genre of music or a band or artist you love??

An artist that I love is Parcels. They’re an amazing band from Australia that is funky and pop at the same time. I’ve gotten to see them a few times in concert, and they put on a great show.?

What was the last song you listened to/what is a bop that you have been listening to on repeat??

The last song I listened to was LoCKeDoWN2 by MEUTE. I stumbled across them on TikTok, and they’re an eleven-piece German Techno Marching Band that I’ve become a little obsessed with. Great focus music while working or doing tasks around the house.

What is your favorite Pathlabs value (Unforgettable Service, Own It, Master the Craft. People First)?

People First, which applies to just about any role at any company. I find I do my best work when I’m aware of the people who will interact with it and be impacted by my efforts. Keeping others in mind helps me stay energized and motivated throughout my life.

Why did you want or choose to work at Pathlabs??

I wanted to work at Pathlabs to be a part of an organization full of like-minded individuals I could grow with and learn from daily. Also, I want to gain experience and expertise from our agency partners and broaden my understanding of the world.

If you had to work but didn’t need the money, what would you do??

I would coach youth sports (specifically lacrosse), which I’ve done a lot in the past. I’m very passionate about sports and love to share that with others. It’s gratifying to teach kids new skills, see them grow/improve over time, and become tiny little adults.
