Meet Kerri Pattersson: Head of Program Management at Pratexo

Hi Kerri! Great to have you with us. Are you ready for a short Q&A?

Sure!

1.What made you join Pratexo??

I love startups and helping them achieve their objectives.? With my background at Ericsson, Cisco and Optum, I am able to apply not only my technical abilities but also my Agile Transformation and Program Management skills to help out.?

2. What skills do you bring to the table?

I bring a hybrid of technical, Program Management, Agile Transformation and leadership skills.? I have experience in both large enterprise companies and small startups.??

3. What is your first impression of the team?

If you have read Patrick Lencioni's book on the Ideal Team Player - this team is it.? They are humble, hungry and smart.? They are also very culture minded and thoughtful.? The CEO Blaine sets the tone, a.k.a leadership shadow, at his weekly call where he makes sure everyone understands how they are part of the solution, and that each one of us should aim to make the company at least 1% every week.? At the weekly meetings, we are expected to speak up on how we contributed to making things better, recognize our peers' efforts and/or how we have lived the company values.? The other thing that I really love about this company are the many cultures and countries coming together.? I get to work with folks in Sweden, India and Japan.? How cool is that?!? And we are a startup.

?4. What do you do in your spare time?? Any particular hobbies?

My husband and I love to cook together and entertain.? We enjoy trying new recipes especially at Christmas time.? It is our tradition to cook the Christmas meal in a different country's way.? This year, we will be cooking Chinese.? Any good recipes - send those my way!

5. What is your superpower?

I am known for coaching and creating really great teams.? I had a Stanford leadership book author tell me that he has never seen a leader check all the boxes and have a team who were personally so vulnerable with each other.? Leadership has always been my passion.? I believe that great teams thrive under great leaders.? When I worked for Cisco, John Chambers would give us side stories of what makes a great leader.? His messages burned into my heart and inspired me to this day.? A few of his sayings: "Don't confuse hard work with results" and "The strength of a leader is determined by how well the team performs when the leader isn't around".? With those in mind, I like to focus on results.? And I work hard to train up the team so that the team is able to work without me.
