1.??????? Who is Katarina Ano?i??

At AHK Serbia I′m the office manager and management assistant, always ready to help with organizing tasks, managing schedules, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.

In my free time, I am an adventurer who loves hiking and outdoor activities. As a nature lover, I find peace in its beauty. Besides that, I enjoy music and dance, expressing my emotions through movement. As an art enthusiast, I find inspiration in various forms of artistic expression, especially in painting, and sometimes I even dare to create some artwork myself.

3.??????? Does the Chamber's mission inspire you and is it something you can identify with?

Connecting experts and companies from Germany and Serbia to develop an innovative and sustainable business environment is extremely important. Promoting foreign trade, representing the interests of member companies, supporting entry into foreign markets, as well as promoting dual education and sustainable business practices, are all key elements that contribute to economic development and strengthening business ties between the two countries. Our Chamber not only supports companies but also contributes to broader social and economic progress. So YES, the Chamber’s mission is truly inspiring and something I can identify with.

4.??????? Are you proud of the way the Chamber contributes to the economy and business improvement in Serbia? How do the activities of the sector you work in contribute to that?

Yes, of course. I believe that the Chamber’s contribution to economic development and improvement is largely reflected through the work of our committees. Within the Committees, member companies have the opportunity to actively participate in discussions on relevant issues and problems specific to their industry, capacities and opportunities for development, and improving the business environment. Members of the committees for specific industries have the opportunity to represent the common interests of the Chamber’s members through their views, lobbying with relevant institutions, and present their needs to the public.

Additionally, through the education programs of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, which are aimed at raising companies’ awareness of responsible business practices, climate preservation, and environmental protection, we directly help companies to be adequately prepared to follow the constant market changes necessary for further development.

5.??????? What is your most valuable experience working in the Chamber?

The opportunity to get acquainted with a wide range of industries operating in our and the German market, and to gain insight into the business operations and functioning of an entire economic system of a country through contacts with our member companies as well as other clients and business partners of our Chamber.

6.??????? How does your previous work experience contribute to the activities of the Chamber?

My previous position was related to working in a manufacturing company of an international character, where I had the opportunity to observe and learn the ways of business operations and operating within a specific industry, which I can now apply to a broader picture and context here.

7.??????? What would you say to younger colleagues who are just starting their professional career?

Feel confident in sharing your ideas and perspectives, as they bring fresh insights. At the same time, stay open to learning from more experienced colleagues, as their knowledge and wisdom is invaluable.
