Meet Kartik Mehta aka @kartikmehta202, this week's Devpost Summer Community Spotlight feature:

Tell us about your journey as a Devpost user

I heard about Devpost when I participated in my first-ever hackathon, the Cloud Native Hackathon . Devpost is one of the best platforms for students and developers to groom their technical skills and collaborate with like-minded people.

How has being a Devpost user helped you in life?

I have participated in almost 30 hackathons conducted by Devpost. During this time, I gained some crucial technical skills by building projects that will help me in the long run. It helped me learn more about collaborative learning and how to manage time. I have collaborated with people from different time zones also. Participating in Devpost hackathons help me improve my communication and problem-solving skills. Networking is one of my favorite parts of hackathons and Devpost facilitates it with utmost care.

When I was mentoring in LA Hacks, I made a really great friend from the United States. Now, we used to participate in hackathons and share our life stories with each other. We used to review our resumes, stalk each other Github repositories and help each other whenever we get stuck. All thanks to Devpost which promotes the atmosphere of networking and collaboration.

What has been your favorite hackathon so far?

Although all the hackathons conducted by Devpost are awesome, if I choose the best from all of them, the list is as follows,

2) Citrus Hacks by UC Riverside

3) Hack The League

4) Mental Health Hacks II

5) HackMerced VII
