Meet John Pentland, Solution Architect
Can you please describe your role as a Solution Architect and how you’re continually innovating Igloo’s digital workplace?
As a Solution Architect, my role at Igloo is to work with our customers and internal teams to find the best solution to individual customer challenges and to leverage opportunities to deliver the most value to our customers. I develop and improve internal processes and liaise with teams to scope new work for individual customers or for our larger customer base.
How do you work with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunities for new Solutions and enhancements to existing Solutions?
A lot of this starts with the feedback we receive from our customers. The Solutions and templates that we have are ones that we have built with over 14 years of experience working with customers. We continue to listen to our customers to learn what works for them and what doesn’t. Then we consolidate this feedback, and in consultation with our internal experts, review and revise existing Solutions or create new Solutions where a gap exists. We are also continually looking for new and better ways to do things, which can highlight opportunities for improvement that we then prioritize against other opportunities and begin to work through.
What innovations have you led in this role that you are most proud of?
In this role, I’ve had the opportunity to look closely at a number of our processes and systems to help ensure they are delivering value for our customers and are focused on helping them get to value faster. I’m also working with internal teams on some platform and offering improvements that I believe will help increase adoption and engagement for our customer’s users and make the platform more valuable overall.

What led you to join Igloo? Why do you enjoy working in the tech industry?
I joined Igloo because I was (and am) impressed by its leadership position in the market, as well as the drive to continue to grow and improve our offerings. I come from a customer service background, and I really appreciate Igloo’s focus on customers’ needs and the true partnership approach taken in working to ensure we deliver value in everything we do.
What are some of the best benefits/perks of working at Igloo?
For me, the best thing about working at Igloo is the people I get to work with. I am constantly impressed by the Igloo team, and the passion, dedication, expertise, and professionalism they bring to everything they do. I also love working with our customers, helping them to solve their unique business challenges, and seeing the impact that we can have as we partner with them.
What excites you most about the future of Igloo's Digital Workplace Solution?
I have the privilege of seeing some of the things that are on our product roadmap a little bit early, and I get excited to see how the things that are coming are going to revolutionize so much of how our customers use our platform.
