What inspired you to choose your professional career?
The world of technology is constantly changing, providing a plethora of career opportunities. I have gained insight into a wide range of IT fields, including ethical hacking, networking, security, digital forensics, Linux, Microsoft administration, cloud technologies, and information systems. I find it incredibly intriguing how computer networks and cybersecurity have become integral to both our professional and personal lives. My desired outcome is to assist users/consumers like me in being more aware of and better protected against cybercrimes.
Can you tell us about a significant project you’ve handled and how it has impacted you, our company, or the architecture, engineering, construction, and/or technology industries?
I have contributed to two projects that entailed the combination of ECM International, Inc. . and JM Crawford & Associates Consulting Engineers. Installing requested software on new machines, helping with MFA setup, and confirming that they could access any JMT resource were among the tasks I was able to complete with JM Crawford users.?The ECM merger has been a significant undertaking as they had approximately 67 employees who required new laptops, docks, and monitors. Once I configured user profiles and the software was installed, my team and I collaborated to efficiently pack and ship the hardware in batches to the ECM offices in El Paso and Austin on time. Additionally, we ensured that each laptop, dock, and monitor was clearly labeled with the respective user's name to avoid any potential confusion regarding ownership. Several members of the helpdesk team and infrastructure traveled to El Paso to assist with the migration and transition of users to JMT. All the hardware was clearly labeled, so they could swiftly assist those users, and the operation went off without a hitch.

Are there any hobbies or interests outside of work that you feel have influenced your professional journey?
I have been continually studying and working towards obtaining the CompTIA Security+ certification. After successfully obtaining my CompTIA A+ certification, I believe that acquiring the knowledge and skills in Security+ would greatly enhance my abilities to contribute to various aspects of the cybersecurity industry. With a focus on offensive, defensive, and management skills, this certification has the potential to greatly influence my career in cybersecurity.
