What's it like to work here at Deutser ?

No two days are ever the same. One of the things I appreciate most about Deutser is the sheer variety – whether it’s the work I get to do, the places this job has taken me, or the incredible people I’ve met along the way. From offshore oil rigs and emergency air ambulance bases to professional sports front offices, college campuses, and the boardrooms of local businesses, Deutser has immersed me in environments and work I never dreamt of experiencing. It’s dynamic, fast-paced, and fulfilling.

What inspires you?

The ability to create genuine, meaningful change in the lives of the people we work with inspires me most. However, I’d be remiss not to mention my colleagues. I have the privilege of working alongside some of the smartest, most creative, and genuine human beings I have ever known. When you combine the opportunity to solve complex challenges with the chance to collaborate with immensely talented teammates, it’s impossible to not feel inspired.

What’s your favorite Deutser value?

While it’s tough to narrow it down to just one value, Think Like an Entrepreneur resonates with me most. If you know me, you know I have been a hustler my entire life – whether it was trading baseball cards as a child, flipping sneakers in school, or launching my own sports talk show in college. The nature of our work demands that same entrepreneurial spirit. Over the years, I’ve had the fortune of creating taglines and branding strategies for multinational companies, helping fundamentally rethink the organizational structure for professional and collegiate sports teams, and authoring cultural initiatives for Fortune 500 companies. Thinking Like an Entrepreneur challenges me to think boldly and creatively every single day.

What's your favorite part about your job?

The ability to create lasting, meaningful impact and genuinely improve our clients’ workplaces is the most fulfilling part of what I do. Hearing a client say they hardly recognize their organization because of the transformation they’ve experienced working with us is one of the highest compliments I could ever receive. Equally rewarding is when a former client who has transitioned into a new role or company reaches out to collaborate again. Knowing the change we create is both tangible and enduring makes it all worthwhile.

When you’re not at work, how do you spend your time?

I enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and wife. I’m a sports fanatic and will happily watch or attend just about any game or event, though my sports-watching schedule definitely revolves around the Texas Longhorns and Houston Astros. I make it a priority to exercise daily, and while I don’t get to golf as often as I’d like, it’s something I am certainly passionate about, too.
