I'm James Andrews , Sensible Coffee's Green Coffee Trader. I joined Sensible at the beginning of 2023 and have been developing our Direct Sales Platform. I've been working with our producer network to expand our offerings for 2023 and plan for the 2024 harvest season, aiming to provide a diverse range of coffees from around the world.

My coffee journey began in 2007, encompassing roles from café barista to roastery assistant, coffee trainer to sales manager in both roasted and green beans. This diverse background has ignited my passion for building meaningful relationships with customers and suppliers, while seamlessly connecting the dots to foster business growth.

At Sensible Coffee, I see boundless potential to empower producers and introduce their craft to a wider audience. Equally thrilling is the chance to provide buyers with tailored services that perfectly match their coffee preferences. By streamlining the value chain, we're enabling both ends to focus on amplifying quality, embracing coffee diversity, and boosting sales.

My morning routine typically involves brewing a classic Central or South American coffee with sweetness and body. As the day progresses, I usually switch to something with vibrant acidity and clarity – a washed Kenyan or Ethiopian if the season allows. In the evenings, I like to explore the realms of beer and wine. I owned and managed a craft beer and natural wine shop for a few years, striving to stay updated with tastes and trends.

Beyond the coffee world, my greatest joys come from spending time with my young daughter and two lurchers who undoubtedly rule my household. It's a balance of work, family, and the pursuit of a perfectly brewed cup.
