In the seventeen or so years I have been evolving the technical, aesthetic, and functionality of the hydraulic door as a credible, disruptive, and revolutionary door/moving wall system, there have been many dark and pressured (no pun intended) moments but many bright ones ..... This is one of the best!

As an Entrepreneur, foremost, and my current subject matter, the hydraulic door systems I design and sell, I am elated that from much work there isn't just one hydraulic door, there is now a whole HydroDoor "Dynasty".

In this approach, the "core" design is essentially "common" with the variables; simply the size and the market sector in which the product is sold/marketed.

I have converged all the sector requirements we serve such as Aviation, Architectural, Industrial, and Residential...

BUT kept the basic principles of simplicity, strength, and size and then applied this science to modern design.

LEED and cost of ownership and operation principals, to create the simplest, largest, and most versatile door system ever designed which has started to encourage architects and building designers to re-consider how they see a door and a wall and begin to "merge" the two technologies.

The evolution of the "system" has removed danger such as cables, chains, sprockets, and inertia arrestors and removed Ugly Straps and Cables.

The Hydro Family has not stopped evolving just because of the current status of design and specification.

It is continually through our daily input from architects and our engineers and a little imagination from yours truly; moving to providing even better solutions BUT with one thing unchanged!

Like the Great White Shark which has remained static where it reached true optimization of form and function, The Hydro Family of products will continue to be simplicity itself.

One of the areas we are concentrating on now is the Mass Evacuation Wall System (MEWS).

I stayed away from promoting my vision for the mass, 'touch of a button', evacuation walls for stadia...

But following a way too close for comfort call, watching the tragic events of several years ago in Las Vegas unfurl, I feel compelled to increase awareness among architects and designers of stadiums and event facilities as to how The HydroDoor "family" of products can aid in massively increasing the speed/rate to evacuate the stadium and large concert/public gathering facilities, with the incorporation of our MEWS.
