Meet Heidi Gee, National Sales Manager

We caught up with Heidi one of our amazing team members at Stonegate, who's been with us for almost 9 years!

Starting as a glass collector at Popworld Southampton during her university days, she climbed the ladder to become a Bar Team Member, Team Leader & Deputy Manager with the help the of Albert's Award & Accolade progression pathways. ?? After welcoming her first child, Heidi transitioned to the Sales Team for a more family-friendly schedule. ??

Let's hear her story!

How long have you been working at Stonegate, and what has kept you here?

I started working for Stonegate in 2014, as a glass collector at Popworld Southampton whilst I was at university. I then progressed to a Bar Team Member, Team Leader & Deputy Manager through completing Alberts Award & Accolade career progression pathways. I stayed working at Popworld until 2021, when I became pregnant with my first child. Because of this, I no longer wanted to work late shifts so I moved to the Sales Team (Big Bookings Team) after my maternity leave. I love the support that Stonegate offers, even as your life evolves and your commitments change. True bar to boardroom mentality!

What do you like about working at Stonegate?

I love the people. I’ve worked for the company for almost 9 years and I’ve always worked with fantastic people and met so many friends along the way.

Can you tell us about a typical day in your role at Stonegate?

A typical day on the Big Bookings Team consists of taking all incoming enquiries for our managed venues for bookings over 41 people, room hires & venue hires. We offer so many different brands and experiences that it’s really exciting to help guests plan their special events with us.

What is the company culture like at Stonegate, and how does it support your growth and development?

Positive! I’ve always found my colleagues to be supportive and uplifting. The wider communication of Stonegate is always prompt and transparent and we are always encouraged to be the best version of ourselves. The training & workshops provided are amazing too!

Tell us some interesting facts about yourself.

• I have a Popworld tattoo (not my finest moment after a few glasses of Prosecco on a hen do in Magaluf!)
• I’m really passionate about equality in the work place.
