Tell us a bit about your role

I started at D&G as an agent and spent 3 years in this role before becoming a Lead Agent – a position I thoroughly enjoyed!

Acting as the bridge between agents and team leaders gave me valuable insight into the rewards and challenges of the role.

I’m excited to share that I’ve recently been promoted to Team Leader. My time as a Lead Agent helped prepare me for this next step, and I’m grateful for the support D&G has provided along the way.

What’s your favourite part about your role?

Helping people grow and seeing colleagues achieve their goals is incredibly rewarding. Taking the time to sit down with agents and hear how proud they are of their progress motivates me every day.

What’s been a standout moment for you at D&G so far?

The opening of the in-office exercise facility in our Nottingham office!

I’ve always been passionate about fitness, having played football for teams like Derby and Ilkeston. During COVID, I shared online workout videos, often with 60+ participants joining daily.

When a project meeting was set up to explore ways to foster more time together in the office and understand what people would like to see, I noticed an empty space on the third floor and pitched the idea of an exercise facility.

The goal was to offer something that seamlessly fits into colleagues' routines—whether during lunch breaks or before and after work.

Have you noticed any impact from the exercise facility among colleagues since its launch?

Absolutely! Since October, five colleagues have cancelled their gym memberships and now use the office facility. It’s been a great motivator, helping people integrate fitness into their busy schedules.

I’ve started coming into the office more to use the gym, which has made a big difference in my routine.

Looking back, how did it feel to see your vision come to life?

One of the best feelings ever! Seeing D&G following through with my idea made me feel valued and showed their commitment to improving our facilities.

What advice would you give to someone looking to join D&G as an agent?

The role can have its challenges, but it's rewarding to see yourself doing such an integral role in the business.

My advice would be to believe in your ideas and don’t be afraid to put them forward – you never know what could happen.
