Corporates Pitch to Startups, BIPOC Entrepreneurs Present Their Solutions, + More

Recent events at Greentown, including a Reverse Pitch Day, a showcase celebrating our ACCEL cohort, and a Career Fair bringing new people into the climatetech workforce.

It’s been an exciting month of events at our Boston and Houston incubators!

At our Reverse Pitch Day at Greentown Boston, 19 of our corporate partners —spanning a wide range of industries, from energy to chemicals to manufacturing to finance—took the stage to pitch their sustainability and innovation strategies and ways they’re looking to collaborate with startups to our community of entrepreneurs!

At Greentown Houston, we hosted the first-ever ACCEL Showcase , which featured pitches from the six participating startups: Active Surfaces , DrinKicks , EarthBond , florrent , frakktal , and SpadXTech . Read about ACCEL—an accelerator from Greentown and Browning the Green Space that bolsters BIPOC-led startups—and the startups’ progress during the program here , and check out a recording of the event here .

We also hosted a Career Fair at Greentown Boston this month, which drew hundreds of people eager to get to work on climate. The event highlighted opportunities with our startups; if you’re a job seeker ready to apply your skills to climatetech, check out open roles here !

This career fair was timely: just one week later, President Biden announced the American Climate Corps , a new initiative to train young people in high-demand skills for jobs in the clean energy economy.
