Meet FTL's New Strategic Communications Director

Please join us in congratulating Ashley Lowell-Doussard on her promotion to #TeamFTL's Director of Strategic Communications as of Monday, July 8th!

Ashley joined the City of Fort Lauderdale in 2021 as the Strategic Communications Manager.

With a 15-year career in broadcast journalism as a Producer and Executive Producer, Ashley has worked in and led newsrooms at stations owned by NBCUniversal & CBS . She brings extensive expertise in storytelling, copywriting, media production, digital marketing, and brand management.

Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Texas State University , a Master of Arts in Interactive Media from the 美国密苏里大学哥伦比亚分校 , and a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from the University of South Florida .

Passionate about public service, Ashley has dedicated her career to informing and engaging the public. She leverages her experience in crafting compelling narratives to highlight the remarkable efforts of the City of Fort Lauderdale's employees, ensuring residents understand how the city is working for them every day.
