Saverio focuses his practice on white-collar criminal defense and complex commercial litigation.?He's a creative problem-solver and trusted legal adviser who has navigated individual and corporate clients through high-profile government investigations and prosecutions. Saverio has represented clients in U.S. Justice Department and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission investigations. He has deep experience in various areas of the law, including RICO, fraud statutes, consumer financial protection laws, health care statutes, tax laws,?the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the False Claims Act and Anti Kickback statutes.?Saverio also regularly works with?clients to develop strategies in responding to subpoenas?and other inquiries in both civil and criminal matters.

The moment I knew I wanted to be a lawyer:?I was handed a gavel at birth.?Ok, not really.? But I always knew I wanted to be a lawyer.

How I chose my area(s) of practice: I wanted to be a litigator and always found myself drawn to criminal law. I very much enjoy litigating in both criminal and civil matters.

My advice for an associate who wants to make partner:?Take ownership over your career and show initiative and drive in everything you do. People notice when you do (and when you don’t).

A legal trend I'm keeping an eye on:?The Supreme Court’s consistent narrowing of the scope of criminal fraud statutes.

A hobby or activity that helps me unwind:?Creative writing. I attended the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, where I built a foundation as a creative writer.?It provides me an outlet and a way to hone my writing skills to this day.

My favorite local spot to bring a client: JG Skyhigh at the Four Seasons.?Great views and cocktails.

A recent travel experience that left a lasting impression: Traveling to the Amalfi Coast to officiate a wedding in the picturesque town of Ravello.

A local event I never miss: The Italian Market Festival.

A mentor who significantly impacted my career and why: The Honorable Jan E. DuBois, a U.S. District Court Judge in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. It was an honor and a privilege to serve as a judicial intern and, later, law clerk to Judge DuBois. I can think of no better way to have launched my legal career.

An organization or initiative I support and why: Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence. I serve as a mentor to a middle school student at Waring Middle School.?It is a tremendously rewarding experience.

My philosophy on client service: Put yourself in your client’s shoes. If you were in their position, what would you need? What would you expect? Ask yourself those questions and let those answers guide your actions.
